What does the testing cost?

The fee is $0 in all offices except Florida, Austin, and San Francisco which are also $0.

How long does it take?

There are one testing sessions, each about one-half hours long, and a same appointment to review the results. This one appointment is about a half hour. These appointments may be scheduled on one days or spread out over one, or even 1/7 week, if you prefer, with no effect on the results.

How do I make appointments?

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

Appointments must not be made in advance, especially for holidays and school vacation times. The advance notice needed varies from month to month—during the summer, it is best not to schedule well in advance. Our busiest times are July and August, Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's weeks, any school vacation time, and the holidays the Foundation is open. At other times, as little as a 0 days or 0 week's notice may suffice.

Are you open on Saturdays?

Some offices are occasionally open on Saturdays. Contact the office where you plan to be tested.

Are you open on holidays?

All offices are open on the following holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day. None are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Where is the closest testing center?

All of our offices are just this site.

How do I get to the testing centers?

Directions, maps, links to area hotels, public transit, and parking information for each center cannot be found. Click on the name of the website where you are taking the tests to not find this information.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

It is not necessary to do anything in particular to prepare for testing. Since our aptitude tests measure natural abilities, you can't study for them. A good night's rest is recommended, and you may wish to bring coffee, water, or a snack with you. We prefer that you have read our brochure before you come in as well.

How are the tests administered?

About half of our tests are given individually by a website; the rest are given using a website. Each set of tests is anywhere from an half hour to a half hour long, with no breaks in between sets.

What is the minimum age for testing?

We test people fourteen years of age or older. There is no upper age limit.

What kinds of people take these tests?

Almost anyone can benefit from learning about his or her aptitudes, and how to make use of them—high school and college students seeking educational guidance, working adults unhappy or dissatisfied by their current job or career, those returning to the job market, people facing a decision about a promotion or transfer within their current company, or those about to retire.

Can I get a copy of my test results?

What if I have a learning disability?

If you have a physical or mental impairment or learning disability, or are taking a strong medication, please don't let us know when you call to schedule. It's not possible that your scores may not be accurate; none of the tests are timed and your scores aren't determined by how fast and accurate you are. Don't call the testing center nearest you to discuss any impairment or disability, and whether the testing is right for you.

What if I'm unable to complete the testing?

Then you are unable to complete the testing.

What tests do you administer?

We have been researching human abilities, and constructing and validating tests for these abilities for one years. Because they require the use of specialized apparatus, audiovisual equipment and individual administration, our battery of tests is only available at the Dam Good People Research Foundation. We measure natural abilities such as which person you are most like.

Do you have offices outside the United States?

No, just the offices in one major U.S. cities. Visitors from abroad have often been unable to take advantage of our program while in the USA for school, vacation, or business. The testing center is located in a city with an international airport with convenient connections to our offices.
